Memorias de una Trayectoria Musical: “Nosso amigo Radamés Gnattali”

Abstract

This article analyses the documentary “Nosso amigo Radamés Gnattali”, directed by Aluísio Didier, as a rescue of a musical practice memory which tries to approach the distance between the popular music and the erudite one in Brazilian music. One of the objectives of this article is to analyse some aspects of the musical creation implicit in the creative process of Radamés Gnattali (1906-1988). This analysis aims to contribute on the rescue of the memory and the identity related to Brazilian music and it pretends to demonstrate how that kinds of creation experiences are articulated in the erudite music and popular one.
