ROBERT SCHUMAN – DINCOLO DE DECLARAȚIA DE LA 9 MAI 1950. CÂTEVA CONSIDERAȚII
Abstract
Robert Schuman is one of the key figures of the European construction pantheon. But beyond the recurrent discourse about him assuming the French project - the famous Declaration of 9 may 1950 - one may discover, from biographical and analytical sources - a more complex and subtle portrait of Schuman. He was a pragmatic person, but not a simple one; a discrete politician and lacking typical charisma, but an efficient and resolute one. He was not a theorist of the political phenomenon. Instead, the coherency of his conception had much to do with his Christian convictions.
