The original and translatorical literary activity of the Russian female representatives of the Enlightenment period (from the studies over the literary circles of Alexander Sumarokov and Gavrila Derzhavin) The article consists of four parts: 1. Preface (Materials for the history of Russian female writers by Mikhail Makarov etc.), 2. Alexander Sumarokov and his daughter Ekaterina – the problem of attribution (The Elegy and the poems from the collection of Grigory Teplov of 1795, the periodical “Trudolubivaya pchela” and edition of the works of Sumarokov from 1780-1781, the polemics between Pavel Berkov and Grigory Gukovsky), 3. Gavrila Derzhavin and the literary circle in Tambov – the translations (activity of the printing house and theatre, the translations by Maria Orlova and Elizaveta Nilova), 4. Conclusion (literary schools in the Russian literature of the 18th century, the translation of the theoretical works of Charles Batteux etc).
