A computer molecular dynamics program has been developed which makes it possible to imitate processes of thin film and epitaxial technologies. The program was approbated on the technology of amorphous metal films production by means of condensation on cooled substrate. It has been found that even at high cooling rates from 300 to 4 K (helium temperature) the silver atom beam forms amorphous films whereas the gold atom beam forms amorphous film under the same cooling conditions. The results obtained agree with the results of direct experiments demonstrating that bulk silver does not transfer into the amorphous state even at maximal available cooling rates.
