La especialización del psicopedagogo en la atención a escolares con trastorno de conducta / Training school psychologists to meet the needs of children with behavioral disorders

Abstract

The education of students with behavior disorders a challenge for all the countries, teacher improvement and specialization has been an alternative to the Cuban system of education to face it. The paper is aimed at describing the framework of the strategy to train school phycologists to meet the needs of such students. The study starts by identifying their background theoretical and procedural knowledge in the field and issues related to their professional practice. These findings lead to devising a specializing strategy to train psychologist to apply a multidisciplinary approach based on advanced education methodology in their professional performance when interacting and coaching students with behavior disorders.
