Monarquía y patrimonio en tiempos de revolución en España
Abstract
This article analyses the relationship between the Real Patrimonio and the Spanish Monarchy during the Nineteenth century, as a manifestation of an ongoing conflict and a political debate, but also as the confrontation between an historical and a strictly political frame. The Spanish Crown contributed very little to the necessary relocation of this old institution in the new liberal political order. His efforts to maintain the ownership of an heritage of dubious nature and entitlement transcended the fully “domestic” ambit and overlapped with the public and political allocation of the “lista civil” and of the sovereignist project, already outlined in the Cortes of Cadiz, of nationalization and confiscation of the Real Patrimonio. It was a considerable factor in disrepute, at least of the Bourbon dynasty.
