The digital transmission and sharing of analog sampling signals is realized through Ethernet in intelligent substations. Ethernet port conflicts will give rise to delay uncertainty of network data transmission. Therefore, the peer-to-peer mode is still in use in constructing intelligent substations. Given the deficiency in security of the existing networking solutions, a networking sampling synchronization solution based on time-sensitive networking technology is proposed to achieve deterministic transmission by port conflict elimination and transmission delay planning of sampling data through a time-slot gated transmission mechanism. The experimental and extrapolated results prove that the solution can meet the performance requirements on relay protection equipment and applies to intelligent substation networks in typical scale.
