The involvement and demobilization of girls, boys, and young people in and from the Colombian armed conflict is a current issue that has raised interest at the national and international levels. Several efforts have been made to diminish the effects of this phenomenon, from the approval of agreements and the implementation of laws in those countries undergoing this situation to the creation of different programs and modalities aimed at the restitution of their rights. The objective of this reflection is to understand how the existing legislation aimed at protecting that population is developed and implemented and what continuities and discontinuities have surfaced since their approval in the country.
