A study on miners’ unsafe behavioral intentions in near-miss

Abstract

To explore the relationship between coal mine near-miss and miners’ unsafe behavioral intentions, we designed a questionnaire based on TPB theory combined with miners’ actual operating conditions, and analyzed data using correlation and regression analysis to determine the model of the unsafe behavioral intention of miners in near-miss; one-way ANOVA and LSD multiple comparison tests were used to analyze the differences of each variable in the individual dimension of miners. The results show that perceptual behavioral control has the greatest influence on miners’ unsafe behavioral intentions in near-miss; there are significant differences in behavioral attitudes among miners of different ages, working ages, and education levels; significant differences in subjective norms among miners with different education levels; significant differences in perceptual behavioral control among miners of different ages and working ages; and significant differences in unsafe behavioral intentions among miners with different education levels and marital status.
