Culture as a component of economic and social development processes: an analysis of the state of the art
Abstract
The present work is developed with the objective of compiling the main theoretical and practical contributions that explain culture as a component of economic and social development. For this, the methodology used is the documentary, through a review of the literature including theoretical contributions from the main authors who have written about culture and development in recent times, as well as reports from organizations that have implemented development projects based on cultural principles. It was noted that the relationship between culture and development has been beneficial for territorial development, economic growth and social cohesion. Measurements on its impact on the economy and on society in general have been a constant debate through different concepts and methodologies. Today, through the 2030 agenda, it is proposed to emphasize aspects such as governance, the flow of goods and services, the mobility of artists, human rights and freedom to achieve development where its fundamental characteristic is the sustainability.
