Nahrhafte mittelalterliche Dichtung: digital und analog. Ein Aufruf zum methodischen Ungehorsam

Abstract

digEST_ivum (www.digestivum.at und www.glossar.kochbuchforschung.org) ist ein digitales Glossar der Speisenfachsprache in der deutschsprachigen poetischen Literatur des Mittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit. Das spezifische lexikalische Wortmaterial von Sach- und Fachtexten erfüllt in Epik und Lyrik eine besondere Aufgabe: Es dient ihrer ‚Poetisierung‘ (z.B. in Form von Metaphern oder Sprichwörtern). Der Beitrag diskutiert exemplarische Fallstudien zum Begriffsfeld ‚Speise‘ im Mittelhochdeutschen, die für digEST_ivum von zentraler Bedeutung sind. Das verwendete digitale Konzept berücksichtigt die zeitgenössischen Praktiken der modernen Literaturwissenschaft und Lexikologie und will den Fachdiskurs über seine engeren Grenzen hinaus mittels Scalable Reading anregen. +++ The following text presents the methodical and theoretical work for the digital online glossary digEST_ivum (www.glossar.kochbuchforschung.org and www.digestivum.at). It contains exemplary case studies on the poeticisation of the conceptual field ‘food’ in the Middle High German language, as they are of central interest to digEST_ivum. The lexical word material of non-fiction texts (dishes, ingredients, preparation etc.) is used to poetize epic and lyric poetry. That means e.g. rhetorical tropes such as metaphors or ironies, but also the opening of a conceptual field of thought that is responsible for the fact that a following text can be read in a completely different way. The digital concept considers the contemporary practices of modern literary science and lexicology. digEST_ivum wants to stimulate the professional discourse in a new way with the help of Scalable Reading.
