The article discuss the roles of the Judges of rural peace linked to the reproduction of power and authority in the Buenos Aires campaign. Is studied their participation in politics ceremonies as well as in punitive liturgies (public punishment, executions) as a form of authority exercise in the south frontier villages of Buenos Aires, between 1820, 1830 and 1840 decades. Is focused in how the authority exercise of the judges had as preferential scenario to the rural villages, heeding the articulation between it happened in Chascomús village and the frontier context. Is reconstructed the list of judges during those years, are examined their links and trajectories, and their politic orientation. Is expected to contribute to the discussion on ways adopted by the deployment of authority in the territory of the Buenos Aires campaign, and discuss the relevance of the constitution of rural towns as a political-social arena in society of the period.
