Bozcaada’nın Yadigâr Tekstil Ürünleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma

One of the important elements in the culture of societies is traditional textiles. Turkish culture has a deep-rooted history and has survived to the present day. In this context, textile handicrafts attract attention in a sub-classification of cultural elements and traditions. Textile handicraft products specific to Bozcaada region of Çanakkale province have been examined. In 2007, the field research survey technique, which was found in personal collections or continued to be used in daily life, the textile products were photographed and documented as a result of mutual interviews, and in 2018, 10 photographs and documents were examined. Textural surface characteristics, technical information and manufacture of textiles are given. It is aimed to introduce the cultural traces inspired by the cultural traces of the people and the cultural components of the people that are reflected in the lives of people settled in Bozcaada. The fact that there are local motifs in the textiles, color and composition characteristics, place of use and characteristics provide an important source of Turkish culture. It is seen that the ornaments of the region are decorated with ribbon, grape bunch, mosque, cypress tree and gold earrings. It is found that the embroidery on the textiles is applied on silk and cotton fabrics, the clothing fabrics are hand-woven cotton, the textiles are used in clothing and home decoration. It should be an important task to introduce the textile products that are specific to Turkish culture to new generations.
