Abstract
This article deals with aspects related to management of change in nowadays organizations, and the effectiveness attached to the leadership of those who manage it. In the first part the most significant aspects of change are treated, and the causes why this change has to be managed and organized are pointed out. Some strategies for doing it are indicated. In the second part the concepts of leadership and management are analysed. Some results of recent investigations are shown and the significant role of leadership is considered in relationship to the attainment of management outcomes.
