The article’s purpose is to discuss the politic meaning of the Brazilian educational reform at secondary education level and its consequences for thedevelopment of the social being. It also intends to show the instrumentalconcept of science and the neo-pragmatics assumptions of the officialdocuments that has oriented this reform, as well as the reasons of economicorder, which supported these changes in the sphere of the education.
