The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of swine wastewater (SW) on the chemical and physical properties of a dystrophic Oxisol. The experiment was conducted under field conditions, and treatments: T1 = 0; T2 = 50; T3 = 100; T4 = 150 m3.ha.year-1 of SW. The SW promoted increased acidity of the soil layer of 20-40 cm, and decrease of the amount of phosphorus adsorbed to clay in both layers, 0-20 and 20-40 cm. The percentage of clay dispersed in water increased in the 20-40 cm layer, indicating that the permanent application of SW can provide risk reduction of permeability.
