La prohibición del uso de la fuerza en el derecho internacional contemporáneo : un caso práctico, la operación armada de los Estados Unidos de América en la República Árabe de Libia, Abril de 1986
Abstract
Castor Díaz analyses the recent Libio-American conflict (April 1986) from the point of view of the Contemporary International Laws that express/y prohibit the use of violence. The author, who analyses military intervention on strictly legal terms, concludes that in the case of the Libio-American conflict the intervention was an armed retaliation against the Arab Republic of Libia as a punishment for its participation on supposedly terrorist actions. The intervention has nevertheless been justified invoking the legitimate right to individual self-defence recognized in the article 51 ofthe Document ofthe United Nations.
