Latin verbs with double accusative and their passivization

Abstract

The goal of this paper is to re-examine the behaviour of Latin verbs taking double accusative from the perspective of functional-typological research on the so-called “ditransitive constructions”. I will focus on two aspects: the types of passivization allowed by these verbs and the alternating types of constructions to which they give rise, depending on the encoding of the two object arguments.
