Student-Led Sessions on Academic Integrity in Orientation
Abstract
This paper describes the rationale for involving students as facilitators of sessions on academic integrity during orientation as an innovative Institutional response to academic misconduct. Based on literature relatd to ethics and academic integrity, the feedback from participating students yielded both expected and unexpected results. Comments from the participating students also became useful in subsequent classroom presentations by faculty as part of class discussions of issues associated with academic misconduct.
