Algorithm for the biological treatment of acute episode of recurrent depressive disorder

Abstract

This publication provides algorithm for biological treatment of Recurrent Depressive Disorder (RDR). Algorithm is presented in the form of schemes of step-by-step selection of therapeutic interventions depending on the degree of evidences of their effectiveness in randomized controlled studies. The treatment tolerability were assessed as well, and level of recommendation of the intervention was also indicated. Data from Russian and foreign literature (systematic reviews, meta-analyses) and contemporary clinical recommendations of international expert groups. Algorithm is provided with text explanations and step-by-step comments. The sources of the extent evidences and the literature recommended for additional information are also provided.
