The orientat ion of the cognitive activity constitute s one of its crucial moments, which is an essential link and didactic function in the teaching - learning process, depending on the studied organization level and integration. The efficiency and effectivenes s with which they are completed depend in a great deal of the premeditation, flexibility, differentiation, and regulation capacity with which it is designed and appl ied in the development of this process. This article summarizes the main difficulties and identif ied inadequacies and the solution proposal carried out by the author in the research performed by Alea, S. (2011) , a methodology for the orientation of the cognitive activity with the students in Psychology and Pedagogy career of the Pedagogic University " Rafael María de Mendive" and the results obtained as part of the continuity of the research process in the topic.
