Surgical treatment of complications of reconstructive operations in women–patients with tubular breasts of Type ІІ

Abstract

Objective. To analyze complications of reconstructive operations in women-patients with tubular breasts of Type ІІ, to propose the procedures of the complications correction and to estimate their results. Materials and methods. In the clinic during last 14 yrs 54 reconstructive operations in combination with endoprosthesis were performed in women-patients with tubular breasts of Type ІІ. Among far remote morbidity capsular contracture was observed, dense postoperative cicatrices, widening of areola, formation of double submammarial plica, the implant palpation. Results.The morbidity correction and prevention procedures proposed, such as application of lipofilling in the fibrotic ring zone, correction and stabilization of the areola form, have permitted to reduce the reoperations quantity. Conclusion. Application of procedures for morbidity correction and prevention have guaranteed the esthetic result improvement of reconstructive operations in women-patients with tubular breasts of Type ІІ.
