Abstract

This work analyzes the impact of the constitutional case law upon Act 27/2017 of December 27th on the rationalization and sustainability of the Local Administration, with particular reference to the interpretation provided by the last judgments, delivered in 2016 and 2017, concerning the new re-ordering of local competences and their impact over municipalities¿ own competences in environmental matters. In this case, the article deals with the scope of the municipalities own competences regarding the so called «urban environment», the municipalities¿ competences different to their owns and to those allocated by delegation and the provinces¿ competences over the provision of environmental services by municipalities.
