Investigating the Attitude Towards the Principles of Professional Ethics and its Relationship with the Demographic Characteristics of Health Centers in Esfarayen in 2019

The aim of this study was to determine the attitude towards the principles of professional ethics and its relationship with demographic characteristics of health center staff in Esfarayen. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study, the study population was all employees of health centers in Esfarayen. Participants were enrolled in the study by census method (117 people). The questionnaire was made by researcher. In order to determine the content validity, the questionnaire were given to 8 experts and faculty members of Esfarayen University of Medical Sciences (CVR=0/79, CVI=0/75). Reliability was assessed by Cronbach's alpha (coefficient was 0.79). Questionnaires were completed by selfreported method. The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS 21 software. Result: The majority of participants in the study were women (77.8%), and the majority were married (95.7%). The mean age of study participants was 36.38 8. 8.51 years. Most of the participants in the study had a good attitude towards the principles of professional ethics (49%). Analytical results showed that there was only a significant relationship between the variable of participation in professional ethics workshops and attitudes toward this issue. Conclusion: According to the results, the majority of employees of health centers had a good attitude towards the principles of professional ethics also by participating in professional ethics workshops; health workers can gain more attitude toward professional ethics.
