Jingliang Zhang et al. examine how dysfunctional PKA signaling impacts neuronal activity and seizure susceptibility in a mouse model of temporal lobe epilepsy. Their data suggest that autophosphorylation of the RIIβ subunit regulates neuronal excitability, and may act as a future therapeutic target.
