THE QUESTION OF ENHANCING ANTI-SHOCK PROTECTION
Abstract
An important direction in the development of the shockproof devices for occupations connected with an increased risk of injury is the reduction of their overall size with maintaining their energy absorption ability. The authors offer a technical solution to shockproof protection of large joints, whichconsists of a band made of coils of anelastic-plastic material with shape memory effect that can effectively protect people from injury and can be used in the field of occupational safety to reduce injuries from shocks or jolts. In the proposed shockproof device the authors used equiatomic NickelTitanium alloy which has acceptable temperature phase transitions which are necessary to restore shape. As an experimental model the authors adopted the technical solution of the shockproof device,in which in addition to the band the authors used electric contacts at the spiral ends. This solution allows the punches to plastically deform with the absorption of the impact energy, and then recover the original shape,also due to the electric heating.
