The business world has undergone great changes due to the phenomenon of globalization; Nowadays, markets behave in a more competitive way, demanding greater participation in decision-making processes at the company level. At the same time, there has been an increase in citizen demands that require companies to give back the society for the benefits obtained from their operations without neglecting the environmental part. Without omitting these demands, companies must base their actions on the principles of business sustainability; Therefore, the objective of this is to analyze the degree of commitment that agricultural companies have assumed in relation to sustainable development. To this end, the practices implemented in terms of sustainability were analyzed by three agricultural organizations in the city of Guasave, Sinaloa; using qualitative methodology to describe the situation or phenomenon, after analyzing the information obtained through interviews. As main findings we can mention that there are very large distances between the companies analyzed because while one can only worry about their survival, we found another with a considerable progress in the subject, so that it already has it included in its business philosophy. However, there are still many areas of opportunity that need to be taken advantage of; for example, to assume the commitments from the business philosophy in such a way that they permeate in the whole organization and there is a more efficient management and not only isolated practices.
