THE MAIN SOCIAL CONTRADICTION OF COMMUNAL SOCIETY OF FLORENCE IN XIII-XIV CENTURIES: HISTORIOGRAPHICAL VERSIONS

Abstract

The object of research is the main social contradiction of Florence in XIII-XIV centuries - between trade and industrial layers and urban nobility - in historiographical perspective. Shows the basic version of the Italian historiography of XX - beginning of XXI century in search of an answer to the question: what prevailed the social struggle or trends in the synthesis of the nobility and the people?
