Effect of dry pasteurized milk from cows infected with the leukemia virus on the development of malignant tumors
Abstract
The article presents experimental data on the reproduction of a muscular solid tumor in BALB/c mice and the study of dried milk from leukemia virus-infected cows after long-term pasteurization effect on the development of these tumors. It was found that inoculation of healthy (control) female BALB/c mice with tumor cells of the transplantable Sp.2/0 - Ag.8 line compared to control males predisposes to 1.8 times more intensive tumor development in animals on average. An experiment on the use of dried milk from leukemia virus-infected cows after long-term pasteurization indicates a decrease in the intensity of tumor development in males by 1.5 times, and in females - by 1.3 times (p <0.05) compared to the control groups. The obtained data indicate the possible activation of natural antitumor mechanisms in the body of animals under the influence of neutralized products of the bovine leukemia virus vital activity. The presented hypothesis requires further study and scientific substantiation and may subsequently become one of the new directions not only in the fight against the bovine leukemia virus, but also, possibly, malignant oncological diseases in humans caused by it. The method of long-term pasteurization, which ensures not only disinfection, but also the neutralization of milk, can be recommended for use in the recovery of farms from this disease and the formation of herds resistant to infection with bovine leukemia in long-term unfavorable farms.
