In recent years, the annular pressure caused by rising annulus pressure in marine oil and gas wells has become an important factor affecting marine oil and gas exploitation, so it is very important to study the maximum allowable value of annulus pressure in marine oil and gas wells. Based on the cementing conditions of marine oil and gas wells in the South China Sea, under the condition of studying well integrity international standards and practices such as API RP90 and ISO16530-2, combined with its casing structure, well completion tools and the situation cement sheath isolation, a method for determining the maximum allowable trap pressure in marine oil and gas wells was established, which considered wellhead devices, cementing and completion tools, casing strength and cement sheath isolation ability. Based on laboratory experiments, tests of sealing ability for cement sheaths were carried out, providing the basis for reasonably determining the maximum allowable value of annulus pressure and designing annular pressure control measures in marine oil and gas wells, which is also of great practical significance to ensure safe production in the same type of wells.
