The Feltrine Alps, a small mountain relief located few km north of Feltre (Belluno) consist of an over 600 m thick carbonate succession that spans in age from Late Triassic to Early Cretaceous. The Feltrine Alps belong to the paleogeographic unit called "Trento Platform", a structural high which formed in Early Liassic time, laterally limited by two subsiding basins: the Lombardian Basin to the west and the Belluno Trough to the east. The present work concerns only the Pliensbachian to Kimmeridgian interval. Nine stratigraphic sections were measured in detail and rich ammonite faunas of Toarcian, Aalenian and Bajocian ages were collected and studied.
