Effect of application of energy class on energy efficiency

Abstract

Today, people are becoming more aware of the consequences of making unreasonable and irrational use of energy. In the EU countries the awareness of the need for energy efficiency, is on a significantly higher level, primarily due to their high economic power. On the other hand, the low economic power of the Republic of Serbia is ranked among the countries with the lowest level of energy efficiency in Europe. This means that we also have to take care more of measures for reducing energy consumption, without causing disruption to the comfort. Regarding the fact that the total consumed electricity in the Republic of Serbia for almost half of the citizens spend in their households, this paper analyzes the application of energy classes by home appliances to increase energy efficiency.
