Libya – the constant threat to international and regional security

From 1980 to 2006 the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiria was considered by the Unites States and the other members of international community as a Rogue State. After that for a short period the relations of Libya with international community has been ameliorated. But this has changed rapidly after the Arab spring when the Gaddafi regim sent the army to stop the peoples revolt and soon then situation evolved into a boody conflict. This paper explore the rise and fall of Libya as a rogue state and state sponsored terrorism and the international community has faced the dilemma of intervention in the light of responsability to protect doctrine.
