The squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a malignant tumor arising from the squamous cells (keratinocytes) and can development in humans and animals. In cattle, the SCC occur mainly in the periocular region of taurine breeds. A Nelore cow presented a proliferative mass in the vulvar region. The histopathological examination showed a proliferation of neoplastic squamous epithelial cells arranged in islands with keratinized center. The definitive diagnosis was SCC well-differentiated. Despite not be a predisposed breed, the prolonged solar exposition associated to the vulvar partial depigmentation, contribute to the tumor development in this case.
