This article is of a theoretical and practical nature. An attempt will be made to theoretically analyze the concept of "family resources" in the perspective of various theories, in particular constructivism and socio-ecological theory, as well as to distinguish it from similar concepts. An important part of the presented article is to show the practical application of the concept of family resources in selected models of psycho-pedagogical assistance. Using the concept of family resources in working with the family or its individual members means changing the perspective of perceiving oneself from a pathogenetic perspective focused on stressors and deficits to a humanistic perspective, emphasizing the uniqueness and uniqueness of each person and trying to bring out what is supportive for him and others in his life. surroundings. In the assistance process based on the resource concept, the client is treated as the expert of his or her own life.
