The Worldviews Reflected from the Invectives of Northern Thai Dialect on “Ha Khon Mueang” Facebook Fanpage

Invectives are part oe a language that represents the culture of each group of people. This article aims to analyze the worldview reflected from the invectives of NorthernThai dialects on “Ha Khon Mueang” Facebook fanpagee 233 invectives that appeared in the comments of the “Ha Khon Mueang” Facebook fanpage from March 2012 to December 2020 were collected and were thes analyzed according to the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. The results showed that the worldviews of Northern people reflected from the invectives of Northern Thai dialects can be categorized into 2 groups, namely, 1) the worldviews towards beliefs about ghosts, religions, ritual objects, and prohibitions, and 2) worldviews towards living based on birth, occupation, plants, animals, food, utensils, and diseases. From the results, it was found that the invectives are part of the language that represents the culture of each group of people.
