Estrategias de ficcionalización en las biografías de mujeres destinadas al público infantil y juvenil / Strategies of fictionalization in women’s biographies for children and young readers

Abstract

ilustres estimulan a la infancia y la juventud a percibir cómo otras personas miran y sienten lo que pasa a su alrededor. Al mismo tiempo ofrecen la oportunidad de ver a los personajes de la Historia como modelos con quienes pueden identificarse para imitar en un futuro. Esto es muy visible en uno de los géneros de no ficción para la infancia que más auge ha conocido en los últimos cinco años: las biografías ilustradas de mujeres célebres. En este trabajo se procede a un estudio mixto de una selección de obras (35) publicadas en varios idiomas peninsulares con el objetivo de determinar cuáles son los recursos de ficción más usados en este tipo de libros. Por un lado, se lleva a cabo un análisis cuantitativo, atendiendo a su tipología textual y su esquema compositivo. Por otro lado, se realiza un análisis cualitativo de los recursos de ficcionalización, verbales y visuales, más utilizados. Finalmente, se concluye que en estos textos el uso de recursos de ficcionalización resulta inevitable como forma de acercamiento del discurso biográfico al público infantil y juvenil. Además, sirven como pieza clave para la formación de un universo lector más rico y completo. Abstract: Biographies of illustrious people stimulate children and young people to perceive how other people see and feel what is happening around them, while offering them the opportunity to see historical figures as models they can identify with and imitate in the future. All of this is very visible in one of the genres of non-fiction for a child that has seen the greatest boom in the last five years: illustrated biographies of distinguished women. In this work, a mixed study of a selection of works (35) is carried out in various peninsular languages with the aim of determining which the fictional resources in this kind of books are. On the one hand, a quantitative analysis is achieved, taking into account their textual typology and compositional scheme. On the other hand, a qualitative analysis of the most frequently used verbal and visual fictionalization resources is realized. Finally, it is concluded that, the use of fictionalization resources in these texts is inevitable as a way of approaching the biographical discourse to children and young people. Therefore, biographies serve as a key element in the formation of a richer and more complete reading universe.
