To meet nature. Teacher training and challenges of socio-environmental education in the mexican context
Abstract
This work recovers some of the aspects of environmental education for sustainability. A survey was applied to 332 undergraduate students in Education with the purpose of identifying if future teachers consider nature as important. The results show that only 10 % of the participants, mainly women, gave priority to the environmental issue. The urgent inclusion of such topics is proposed in all curricular spaces of teacher training institutions.
