Abstract
This essay analyses the current state of affairs of education in Brazil, both from a broad perspective and a more specific architecture and urbanism focus. It deals with aspects intrinsic and necessary to reach a life-enhancing environment in line with the aims defended by Agenda 21 in respect to built space. The aim is to achieve a desirable quality of life, without forgoing sustainable development and a healthy environment.
