IoT potential in Industry 4.0 and Education 4.0 context

Abstract

The current paper aims to take a glimpse at the potential of the advanced technologies present today such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Technologies, Mobile Internet, etc. that have the potential to improve everyday life with new, interactive experiences that can change the way we perceive many of our daily activities. These technologies are pushing the society towards the development of Industry 4.0 and implicitly, Education 4.0. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the pressing need for a digitized society and education was felt, where technology plays a key role in the teaching-learning process. Thus, the concepts of Smart learning, Smart city, Digital campus, E-education and many such notions are starting to take shape more and more, aiming to adopt the trend of smart...everything.
