OWNERSHIP RECORDS AND BOOK-PLATES REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STROGANOVS IN THE BOOK COLLECTION OF A COUNT ALEXANDER GRIGORIEVICH STROGANOV
Abstract
The article describes the bookplates and ownership records of members of the family of a count A. G. Stroganov and other members of the Stroganovs, stored in the book collection of the Scientific library of the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov State University A compilation of ownership records reveals only a small part of them in the library of a count Stroganov. It marks the ownership of representatives of the Stroganovs. The most ancient, and partly on the basis of book collections were books belonging to his father Alexander Grigoryevich and older generations of relatives: the Baroness Natalia Mikhailovna and her son, Baron Alexander Sergeyevich. Here we find the book of Alexander’s brothers – Nicholas Grigorievich and Valentin Grigorievich Stroganoff. It was noteworthy the discovery of entries in the books belonging to Natalya Viktorovna, wife of a count Stroganov, one of his sons, Victor and eldest daughter, Mariamna. Owner record of the cousin, Anatoly Nikolaevich Demidov, and his nephew, a count Nikolay Sergeyevich Stroganov. Can testify about maintaining close family ties.
