PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE PEER LEARNING TERHADAP PENGUASAAN PENGGUNAAN HURUF HIRAGANA(PENELITIAN EKSPERIMEN SEMU TERHADAP SISWA KELAS 7 SMP LABORATORIUM PERCONTOHAN UPI TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015) (THE EFFECT OF USING THE PEER LEARNING METHOD ON THE MASTERY OF THE USE OF HIRAGANA LETTERS (PSEUDO-EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON 7TH GRADE STUDENTS OF UPI PILOT LABORATORY SMP IN THE 2014/2015 SCHOOL YEAR)
Abstract
This research is motivated from the difficulty students in learning Japanese Although students can quite easily understand the vocabulary and sentence patterns Japanese, but because the Japanese characters that are different from Roman letters, thus making the students find it difficult to master it. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the effect of the use of Peer Learning method to control of the use of Hiragana students. And to investigate the responses of students about Peer Learning methods in learning. This study is a quasi-experimental "one group pretest-posttest design". In this research, the authors provide the different alternative method of learning from using Peer Learning in the Hiragana learning. The population in this study are all of the students of class VII SMP Pilot Laboratory UPI and the sample was taken 17% of the total population of the class VII-A total of 29 students. The instrument that used in this study is the tests and questionnaires. From the analysis of the test data obtained by t = 20.85 and db = 28, then, the value of t table = 2.05 at the 5% level. Based on the results of processing the data, it can be concluded t> t table which means that the working hypothesis (Hk) is received. Based on this research, in the method of Peer Learning stages when the tutor explains the material in the group of their friends become the stages which influenced the students' mastery of the use of Hiragana. furthermore, the data from the questionnaire were known that most of the students stated that the use of Peer Learning methods can enhance students' mastery of the use of Hiragana.
