Entre défis et contraintes. Le parcours muséographique de la galerie des peintures murales 1937-2007

Abstract

The main object of this article is to give an account of two extraordinary museographic challenges which took place seventy years apart : the creation in 1937 of the gallery of wall paintings and stained-glass windows to complete the existing cast collection in the new musée des Monuments français and the new impulse given to this gallery in 2007 for the reopening of the museum within the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine.
