A GLIMPSE ON THE BESTSELLER READING PROCESS

Abstract

This work intends to discuss the bestseller concept, relating aspects on the cultural industry and concluding with the performance analysis of a well-know bestseller Brazilian writer, Lus Fernando Verssimo. The handling of the reading process will be based following the discourse analysis from the Parisian school of semiotics aiming to verify the reasons from which this type of discourse is widely acquired by the contemporary Brazilian reader.
