The significance of the problems of solving, investigating and preventing crimes committed by minors determines the need for constant updating of criminalistic means and methods of combating juvenile delinquency. The changes taking place in its structure require close attention from criminalistics. The purpose of the work is to analyze the content and structure of data on the dynamics and prevalence of crimes committed by minors, their place in the structure of criminalistic characteristics and the possibilities of using this information for solving and investigating juvenile crimes. Research methods: general scientific – dialectical, systemic, logical; specific scientific – axiological, statistical. The article draws a conclusion on the criminalistic significance of data on the dynamics and prevalence of crimes committed by minors and the possibility of using them as a theoretical justification for typical versions of the subject of crime and for solving other investigation tasks. It is proposed to consider data on dynamics and prevalence in several aspects, including general information about the state of juvenile crime, its dynamics by region, as well as changes in the structure of crime. Indicators of the dynamics and prevalence of juvenile crimes show serious changes in their criminalistically significant features and this requires systemic analysis and the development of adequate methods of counteraction and prevention.
