Transformaciones en el acceso y uso de los recursos naturales en el archipiélago de Chiloé

Abstract

Some of the most significant cultural changes that have occurred in the Chiloé archipelago with respect to the access and use of coastal marine resources are described. The transformations that have occurred reflect an ontological and life model shift from relational/consuetudinary to naturalistic/extractive. This phenomenon was promoted by the intervention of the market, by State policies, and also due to the modification of local satisfiers to access opportunities, sometimes distant and sometimes in situ.
