Inflammatory psuedotumor causing carotid artery stenosis

We report a rare case of 52 years old female patient with Inflammatory Pseudo tumor (IPT) of common carotid artery. Patient presented with right sided neck pain with swelling of 3 months duration with features of carotidynia. CT and MRI revealed short segment stenosis of right distal common carotid artery secondary to concentric mural thickening. Surgical exploration revealed fibrous mass arising from the right common carotid artery involving its bifurcation. Histopathology and Immunohistochemistry confirmed inflammatory pseudo tumor of Carotid artery.
