TEXTUAL GENRE AND TEACHING PRATICE: A READING OF THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM PARAMETERS OF PORTUGUSE LANGUAGE FOR THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Abstract
This work discusses the teaching and the learning processes by the textual genre theoretical perspective in the National Curriculum Parameters of Portuguese Language for the elementary school (BRASIL, 1999). For this, a speculative recover is presented to establish a debate regarding textual genres and their implications to languages teaching and learning, pointing out the importance of studies of this object. In addition, a parallel is realized between the document and the theoretical dimension discussed before, analyzing the considerations that the PCNs done about these processes. As a final point, the importance of this approach is mentioned, suggesting a work with genres in the classroom, according to the pedagogic model elaborated by Martin (1999), with the purpose of stimulating and developing the critical participation of students in front of language and society.
