Abstract

The structure characteristic of less-tooth gear shaft and the parameter,geometric dimensions of less-tooth gear are introduced.Based on the concept of polar moment of inertia in mechanics of materials,using superposition method,the new precise calculation method of polar moment of inertia of less-tooth gear shaft is put forward.An important basis to study the stiffness and strength of less-tooth gear shaft,further optimize design parameters of less-tooth gear pair is provided.
