L’Émir Abdelkader, réconciliateur des mémoires de la France et de l’Algérie, dans la presse française du XXIe siècle

Abstract

Within the framework of discourse analysis, our work tries to detect the representations of the Emir Abdelkader in the French press today and therefore to question us on their possible evolution. The analysis shows that a new representation of Abdelkader is emerging in the press articles which present him as the "reconciler of the memories of France and Algeria".
